April 18
: Good Friday Liturgy of the Passion of the Lord at 3pm;
Solemn Stations of the Cross
at 7pm.

April 19: Holy Saturday
Confessions
from 2 to 3pm
Blessing of Baskets at 3pm
Easter Vigil
Mass at 8pm.

April 20: Easter Sunday Mass at 9am.
Easter egg hunt for all children from 0 to 10 years of age on church lawn following Mass.

April 27: Reception of Candidates into full communion with the Catholic Church by the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation
Following morning Mass, our CTK monthly breakfast (no charge) will take place in the social hall.
The volunteer organizer of this month's breakfast is our parish religious education program for youth -- CYE (Catholic Youth Education)

May 1: Service sponsored by the Benton-area Council of Churches to mark the National Day of Prayer
takes place outside the Benton First Columbia Bank at 12 noon.

May 3 and 4: Rite of Sending for Confirmation at Masses this weekend

May 4: First Holy Communion at the 9am Mass

May 10: Confirmation at 10am (held at St. Columba Church, Bloomsburg)

May 11: May Crowning of the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary will take place during the 9am Mass
Following morning Mass, our CTK monthly breakfast (no charge) will take place in the social hall.
The volunteer organizer of this month's breakfast is the men of the parish, who will honor the mothers of the parish

May 15: Finance Council Meeting at 6pm in the meeting room

May 17: Knights of Columbus Work Day from 9am to 12noon

May 18: Youth Group day at the High Ropes Course

May 21: Pastoral Council Meeting at 6:30pm in the meeting room

May 24: Ordination to the Diaconate (Deacons) for the Diocese of Harrisburg at St. Patrick Cathedral, Harrisburg at 10am

June 1: Benton High School Baccalaureate Service held at Christ the King Church at 7pm

June 15: Following morning Mass, our CTK monthly breakfast (no charge) will take place in the social hall.
The volunteer organizer of this month's breakfast is the women of the parish, who will honor the fathers of the parish

June 22 through 26: Quo Vadis Days -- young men's retreat to discern one's life vocation, including diocesan priesthood
(held at Mt. St. Mary Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland)

Families of those who are dying and in need of the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick (Last Rites)
should call Fr. Marcoe as soon as possible at the church (570-925-6969)
and at the Newman House in Bloomsburg (where he resides, at 570-784-3123).
Because of the HIPPA laws, we are not notified by hospitals or convelescent homes.
